And the winner is...*

I admit it, I'm a sucker for the two big awards shows -- the Golden Globes and the Oscars. Sometimes I can watch the Emmys or Grammys or Tonys, but usually it's just the two biggies that interest me. I get especially into the Oscars, some years watching hours of pre-show coverage. This would make more sense if I saw a lot of movies, but usually I've only seen one or two Oscar-nominated movies in any given year. I guess I just like all the glitz and glamour.

Watching the Golden Globes this weekend got me back into the spirit (even though Leonardo did not win for his excellent acting in The Departed), so I paid a visit to the Oscars site, and took their "Which Character Are You?" quiz. I know, I keep saying I'm going to stop posting so many quizzes on here and then I post more. But I really like my result for this one!


Oscar nominations are announced next Tuesday, January 23, and the Oscars are on Sunday night, February 25. Mark your calendars!

*And yes, I know it's no longer politically correct to say "And the winner is..." because it makes the rest of the nominees sound like losers, so now they just say, "And the Oscar goes to...." But the original has a nice ring to it.
